They were bred to have Honecrisp juiciness and a refreshing tartness while also being one of the first apples to ripen in the fall. SweeTango

- Developed by the University of Minnesota the SweeTango apple is a patented cross between Honeycrisp and Zestar apples. They ripen early in the fall and have a crisp sweet-tart taste that some have described as a spiced apple cider flavor with hints of brown sugar. Suitable flesh for eating fresh, cooking or preserving the SweeTango is a popular early-season apple.
